The Harrison's faith through hard times

What a testimony Jonathan and Alicia have given to everyone around them these last several months. They are great friends of mine from college who have had a very hard past couple of months, and through it all remain faithful to God and surrendered to His ultimate plan. Alicia was about 3 months pregnant when they found out that their baby did not have a bladder. They did several tests to try and figure out what exactly was wrong and last week found that the baby's kidneys were not working and therefore she would not survive once out of the womb. I received this email today from them:

"Hello Everyone,
Hope this message finds you well. We wanted to take a moment to update everyone on what is going on with baby. Early Saturday morning Alicia's water broke and we went straight to the hospital. At 1am early Sunday morning our baby girl Catherine Grace Harrison was born and went to her Father in heaven. We did get to spend some precious time with our baby girl and get to see how wonderfully made she was. Catherine Grace weighed 12 oz and was10 1/4 inches long. We were happy to see she had her mom's little blonde hair and long fingers and toes and her dad's mouth. Alicia was strong during the labor and delivery and did not suffer any complications. We are released from the hospital now and back at home. Although we are very upset with the situation and hurting inside, we still know that this is God's will and that our girl is now in heaven with no pain or suffering. She will always be in our hearts and memories forever.
We will never forget all of the messages, prayers, emails, flowers, letters, and love that all of our friends and families have given us through this time. Also, all of those people who have heard about our situation and prayed for us although they have never met us. One thing I have learned through all of this is that God is always in control of every situation in our lives and how precious and miraculous life itself is. We would like to leave you guys with some of the bible verses that comforted us through this time. Thanks again for everything you have done."
God bless,
Jonathan and Alicia
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you, he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8
"May the God of hope fill you with all the joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13
"Be still and know that I am God" Psalms 46:10
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb. I praise you cause I am fearfully and wonderfully made: you works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalms 139:13-14

This is a true testimony for sure of their faith in God and I cannot even imagine what they are going through right now. If everyone would please continue to pray for them as they process through all of this and continue grieving over the loss of their precious baby girl. I love them both dearly and hurting for them as we speak. Let this be a reminder to us all that life is a TRUE MIRACLE of God and we should never take it for granted.
