14 weeks

2012-11-29 08.06.28

At 14 weeks the baby has doubled in size the last 2 weeks and is now 4 inches long and the size of a lemon! Baby can also now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and suck its thumb!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 4 lbs

Gender: We will find out in January. Have to wait until 20 weeks this time.

Movement: Oh yes! While the kicks aren't powerful right now, I do feel the baby moving often! Any time I sit still I can usually put my hand on my belly and feeling it moving.

What I miss: Not really missing anything right now… just enjoying the moment!

Sleep: Sleeping good but cant seem to catch up. In 2nd trimester and still feeling very tired!

Symptoms: Nausea is continuing to hold on even though it’s the 2nd trimester.

Notes: We love our new doctor, Dr. Myers! He has a great personality, very thorough and we didn’t have to wait two hours in the waiting room!

Cravings: Nothing specific now but I have to eat something every 3 hours or the nausea kicks in.

What we are looking forward to: Calling our baby by name. This week we have wracked our brain and tried each night to narrow down our list for a boy. It really bothers me having to call the baby “it” or “baby.” I want to be able to pray for them by name and always feel like once we give the baby a name it becomes more real!

My list: Hudson, Knox, Noah, Grayson, Hunter, Paxton. JR likes: Knox, Tucker, Judah and Barnabas. Haha okay I think the last one was a way to get me fired up! He didn’t really like it but we just couldn’t agree on one!

After an 1.5 hour drive alone today we finally agreed!!!!! I jumped out of the car and ran around with excitement! Our convo went something like this.

L- “Well I REALLY love Hudson.” J- “I really love Judah.” L- I can do Judah as a middle name if Hudson can be the first name.” J- “Ok.Hudson Judah Isham. I like it.” He was so calm and I couldn’t believe it after he had so adamantly said no to Hudson. Our same name for a girl has carried on through all 3 pregnancies because we love it so much too. I am ecstatic!!!

So without further babble, our official names for baby #3 are:

Hudson Judah Isham

Lexi Grace Isham

***Update from 12.5 appointment: Keeping due date at June 1st, Mommy is dehydrated a bit but baby is great! Heart rate was 153.

More Thanksgiving Memories

After Thanksgiving with my mom’s side we headed to my Dad’s and enjoyed more family time. We had an amazing lunch and then headed outside for more fun!

Many moons ago the brothers and I took this infamous photo in the leaves…..

And here we are 20 years later!

Griffin had his first experience with a leaf pile and loved jumping in them!

Soon to be Mr and Mrs. Griffin!

After Dad’s house we piled up and went to Pigeon Forge for a mini getaway. The boys first stop… THE POOL!

Diddy spoiled us by taking all 4 of us to our first trip to the Ripley’s aquarium.

We had a blast checking out all of the many fish God has created!

Thank you Susu and Diddy for a fun trip! We loved our time with you!

Thanksgiving at the Cracker Barrel

This year our family decided to meet up at the Cracker Barrel for some yummy Thanksgiving lunch. We had fun watching all the cousins together and visiting!

Fantasy of Trees Parade

Griffin was invited to be in the parade for the Fantasy of trees this year with our school. They were “fishers of men” and he loved smiling and waving at everyone!

Cici, Pipper, Tyty, Cara, Daddy and Carter all came to watch too!

Love this time of year with all the holiday festivities and making memories with family!

So much to be thankful for!

This year we did a “What we are thankful for ” chain. It was fun to sit at dinner each night and remind ourselves how blessed we are. Some of Griffin’s were: steak, my friends at school, Jesus, Mommy, Daddy, Carter, Batman toys and the new baby.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Advent Calendar

I am thrilled to finally have an advent calendar! I love to count down to Christmas and even more so love the idea of creating family memories the entire month! I also am incorporating Random Acts of Christmas Kindness (RACK’ed) along the way that I saw from this blog

O Christmas Tree

We got the early itch this year to put up our tree since last year we didn’t get to have one so we used our family day to do so. The look on the boys’ faces were priceless!

Griffin was really into it this year helping Daddy put together the tree and string the lights.

Carter could care less about the tree but he did love the Little people nativity set and cheesing for the camera.

Hugs in front of the tree!

Griffin showing off his new ornament for this year: Batman!

Carter being goofy as usual!

putting together the train

and waiting for it to go!

All smiles for the choo choo train

Some of our favorite ornaments

The tradition of sleeping under the tree the first night its up!

A few more of the Christmas decor

These two make the holidays so much more special! Loving this most wonderful time of the year!
