Can someone please explain?

This weekend as I was waiting on my friend Natalie to arrive in Nashville, I just happened to notice this nice new hair that has came in recently. It honestly looks like I tried to cut myself some bangs but only did one small piece ha. I have heard that new hair growth is common for pregnant women and my sweet friend Natalie Lemarbre showed me her proof!

So my question for all of you mom's out there is this... what else do I need to know about this body of mine that is not my own anymore? Come on I want you to be real!!! :)

Your stomach might get some hair too.

Yes I got a "happy trail" of dark hair on my belly below the belly button. It was lovely! But it's gone now!!

Oh girl....ha
I had the black line (called linea nigra) down the center of my abdomen. (no dark hair though) I hated it soooo much!! It went away after Brylee was born...! Its caused by Pregnancy Hormones...just like hyperpigmentation (darkening) of the areolas around your nipples!! YES our body changes soooo much!! What women have to go through! :)

Ha! I got new hair all over my head and by the time Connor was born it was sticking up and spiky! Lucky for me you couldnt see it unless you parted my hair and really looked for it since it is so thick anyway. I got the dark line that Brandi was talking about too, but not until much later in my pregnancy. Get those belly pictures soon, just in case. Ha! I dont want to go into many details but if you breastfeed I wont even begin to tell you all of the things that changed in that area! Ha! Lets just say that by looking at my chest you would think I was an 80 yr old woman. Even so, I wouldnt change the fact that I nursed Connor for the world. I loved it and will do it again with the next. I guess you could say that some reconstructive surgery might be in my future though!

I've always heard about growing the little new hairs while pregnant, and then many women lose a ton of hair after the baby's born. All the hairs your body "held on" to, it finally lets go of. Several ladies said it was so much they were half-afraid they'd go bald, but in the end it tapered off and they were fine. :)

You get new hair and your hair will fall out in chunks once the baby is born and then you will get new hair all over again. I was still seeing little sprouts of new hair growth up until I stopped nursing. My hair dresser new I was a new mom and would laugh at the new growth. I on the other hand hated it for the same reason you are right now. Just wait once you hold your sweet baby you wont even think about your hair. As for tummy hair I never got that so you may luck out but you never know.

Ok, so here's a 'non hair related' tidbit that happened to me. My feet grew a half size with each of my pregnancies. I started as a 7 1/2 with Peyton and am now an 8 1/2after Colton!!!

Well these are some enlightening remarks for sure. I thought my nose got bigger w/ my last two pregnancies. But then it seemed to go back to normal after they were born. My hubby said it was all in my head (good response from him!). Don't forget the possibility of stretch marks!! love ya, ct

Jackson is 11 weeks old and my hair is healthier than it was before I got pregnant. I haven't lost any hair..and my nails are still rock solid.
BUT..my fingers grew a whole size. They went from a size 4 to a 5. My feet aren't exactly a size 6 anymore. And girl, you know how big my freakin ankles got while I was pregnant. Also, you'll get the lovely dark line down your abdomen. Mine is a pale brown right now. Oh yeah...you will get overtaken by stretch marks in places you ever thought possible (i.e. cleavage and rear). And your boobs. Let's just say I realize now why women want to get a boob job after they have a baby. That is all I am saying.
Yes, your body is freaking out. But my love, it is worth all of it. Even if your hair all fell out and you shrunk two feet (okay, maybe not that one)...it is worth every moment of it when that little baby looks at you for the first time.
LOVE YOU!!

In addition to some of the other things already posted, pregnancy has done crazy things to my teeth. My gums and teeth are still in rough shape since I am still nursing. I so hope they go back to being pearly white, but for right now I look like a smoker. And I pull handfuls of hair off of the top of my head everyday. It is gross - it gets everywhere.

Oh girl! There are going to be so many things "pop up", leak and grow that you didn't think would ever happen! HA! Just remember that it is so worth it for that bundle of joy at the end!

Oh I had this tuft of hair show up above my forehead that would stick straight out. I also had hair growing in places it was not growing before. And I also freaked out when I started shedding it all after Delia was born. It was coming out in multiple handfuls whenever I'd get a shower. I always had to check to see if any was left...and it always looked like I hadn't lost a bit.
