The Bucket List

Last night JR and I watched "The Bucket List". It was a great movie for sure and definitely made me shed a few tears! I dont want to give it all away b/c I would recommend everyone else seeing it as well... but pretty much 2 men realize that they do not have very much longer to live and so they together decide to create a "bucket list" of things they want to do before they "kick the bucket".

A lot of movies I can just watch and not think about anymore really.. but this one was definitely different. The producer makes each person who watches it think about the true meaning of life. "What do you want to accomplish before your life is over. What do you want people to remember about you? What is the goal of your life on earth?" Man those are all very deep questions huh? Well God would not let me go to bed last night without answering them... He kept me tossing and turning :)

I would say that I would like people to remember Lindsey Isham as the woman who brought great joy to those who were closest to her, and those who did not know her as well simply remembered the smile on her face. and although I do hope to be missed, I want everyone to be rejoicing knowing that I am the happiest I could ever be resting in my Father's arms in Heaven.

As far as making a "Bucket List" of my own I am pretty simple too.
1. be a wife who loves her husband the most she possibly can each day, only to wake up the next day realizing that even that amount of love could have grown again the next day.
2. to be a mom whose children cherish me more than any other woman in their life.
3. to be a daughter that gives her parents as much love as they give to me.
4. to be a sister that never stops supporting and encouraging her siblings
5. to be the best friend that anyone could ever ask for
6. and last but of course not least... for God to say, "Good job my good and faithful servant" once we meet in Heaven.

I know that some people may want to do this (skydive, visit the world, etc) or have that (mansion, nice car, etc), but I really am completely content with what I have right now. Of course it would be nice to have things and be able to check things off a list that I have done.. but then what.. would I really be more happy than what I am RIGHT now? JR has told me over and over that I need to learn to have dreams (he is a REALLY big dreamer ha!) but I think over the years he has realized that God simply just made me content and simple. And I am forever grateful that He did :)

So what is your bucket list? I would be interested to see!

This weekend...

I am on the road again! I am headed out today after work to stay at my mom's and then meeting up with Katie, Adrienne, Crystal and Jenn in Knoxville so that we can all go to Ohio to see Melissa get married! I am so excited about getting to see all of my girlfriends and I know that it is going to be an awesome wedding and weekend. Please pray for safe travels for us all, it will be a long 11 hour drive for me I know that for sure :) Also pray for Melissa too! As any bride to be, she is experiencing the stress of "Holy cow I am getting married in 2 days and there is so much to do before!" I know I sure remember that with my own haha!

The puppies are also 6 weeks old as of yesterday and so they will be going to their new homes soon! We have sold 3 for sure and have 2 other really good prospects. Though I am very sad to see them go.. I am very happy that they will be getting such good homes! If you know of anyone who wants one we still have 2 more for sure and maybe even more. So far Eddie, Eve and Daffodil have been sold. You can see them all if you click here.

Update on Potts

He got to come home again today around noon! The doctors pumped him full of lots of fluids so he is not dehydrated anymore which is good. They are still unsure at this point what is causing his heart beat to be irregular and his blood pressure so up and down, but they have decided to get home health care so that they can keep a closer look on it. He had a really rough few nights while in the hospital so we are all very thankful that God knew he needed to be in the hospital so that he would have the extra care he needed. "I am gonna be okay honey, so you stop worrying about me, " these were the words I received over the phone from him :)

I want to thank everyone for their continued prayers and letters of encouragement to them. I want to especially thank JD, who took care of their house while they were gone. There were several things going on with their pool getting fixed while they were gone and her and David helped out SO much! Thank you sweet friend of mine. I am so thankful that God knew that you guys needed to be neighbors :)

A few new creations

I have been back in the sewing room but this time I have tried to do some a few different things. I have always talked about wanting to do a baby blanket and so I figured I would give it a whirl. There is a kit at Joann's if anyone is interested and this is what I used. I now have the pattern and will know how I will do it next time as well... hooray! It is so soft and just perfect for Baby Jackson. I am so glad Amy loved it :)

Next new thing was a crayon roll. I found this pattern on someone's blog a while back and thought it was cute. With Maisy's 4th birthday party (strawberry shortcake) coming and knowing that she loved to color, I decided to try it. Let me tell you.. it was SUPER easy :)

I will be glad to share tips if anyone is interested. Happy sewing :)

Potts

Potts went back into the hospital on Saturday. He has dehydration, irregular heart beat, fluid around his lungs and his blood pressure has been VERY low. Please pray for him as the doctors continue to run tests to see what is causing all of this. I spoke to him on the phone yesterday for Father's Day and he said he is just eager to feel better so that he can go back home. Thank you in advance for your prayers!
