While in North Carolina we were able to see lots of our friends from Bethesda who were more like family for the 2 years we were there. It was so so so great to see them but made it difficult to have to leave all over again.
We were spoiled by GDaddy and Mimi who let us stay with them and hope we can go back again very soon!
30 weeks at Uncle Phil and Aunt Kelly’s wedding rehearsal!
At 30 weeks, Lexi Grace weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. To meet her increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because her bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
Total Weight Gain: 15 lbs… more than I have been at this point before but I blame it on having a girl. I know I’m not overeating so I’m just enjoying the baby bump… it could be my last one after all!
Gender: IT’S A GIRL!!!!!
Movement: The doctor told me last Monday that I needed to start charting her kick counts, at least 10 a day. I laughed immediately and said, “I think she kicks 10 times in a minute!” She really is SUPER active!
What I miss: Blessed to be healthy and have a healthy baby too so I cant complain!
Sleep: I find myself getting more tired during the day but then cant go to sleep at night because she is moving so much.
Symptoms: Sciatic nerve again… oh that sciatic nerve! Adding in the acid reflux as well, but mainly just at night.
Cravings: anything fruity and the ice attack is back!
What we are looking forward to: Decorating her room. I have slowly been getting things but am ready to get stuff on the walls. Stay tuned for pics!
Notes: I had a doctor’s appointment on last Monday and was thrilled to see her on the ultrasound again. She was wiggling around like crazy and I loved seeing her sweet face. She weighed 2 lbs 13 oz and was measuring 5 days ahead of schedule. I also had my glucose test so I should hear back from that soon but all else is well! We are working on scheduling her birthday…and it looks like it will be Tuesday, May 28th! 9 weeks to go… crazy!!!

I was so blessed to have an awesome friend make the bumper and crib skirt… I love how they turned out!

We were so excited to have the Couch family come and stay with us on Thursday night. Wes and Laurie were some of our very best friends while in seminary and they moved to Florida two years ago. Sadly it had been since them since we had seen them… and so we got to meet their little Wesley and they met Carter too!
Faith and Griffin used to play together often and she was even the first girl to lay a kiss on him. Little brother thought she was cute too
We went to a pancakes and pajamas birthday party for sweet Addie and the boys had so much fun!
It was also VDiddy’s 52nd birthday! We enjoyed a beautiful day outside riding their big wheels and playing baseball.

This weekend I was able to celebrate with some of my best friends, who also are fellow 30th birthday girls. It was so fun growing up in elementary school all the way through high school having joint parties and celebrating the “big” birthdays like 16 and 18. Missy starts off the birthday train on the 23rd, Jessica the 25th, I am the 26th and Katie is March 1st… fun huh?!? And of course we couldn’t leave out JD and Charissa because we were all the best of friends back then and have been lucky enough to continue our friendships even 10 years later.
We started our girls day at the nail salon enjoying manicures and pedicures!
Such a treat for these two mommas to get pampered!
We then had a delicious dinner at Bonefish
Followed by ice cream and great conversation time catching up afterwards! We always can pick up right where we left off and its just great!

Last Sunday night JR did an excellent job of luring me back to church for a “financial class” only to surprise me for a belated 30 birthday party! He worked so hard to get everyone there and I’m so grateful for how everyone chipped in to make it happen. Lovely food, wonderful friends and family and one shocked birthday girl!!!
