Valentines Baby!!

I just got a call from Reba saying that they will be taking Tristan today at 5:30 in a C-section. Leann's blood pressure is too high and they dont want to risk it so they are going to go ahead and take him today. He is going to be our little Valentine's baby.. YAY!!!! :)

Please keep them in your prayers and you know as soon as I get pictures they will be posted!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I want to wish EVERYONE a Happy Valentine's Day! Today is either a day that you LOVE Valentine's Day or you think it is ridiculous and hate it. I just want to encourage ALL of you, whichever category that you fall into, to share the LOVE to others today. Yes it may get a little corny at times but I would say overall this is a wonderful time to take the time to let everyone know that you love them. No matter if it is your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, or people you dont even know. God calls us all to love one another no matter what AND that we should love people more than ourself. Now I know that I love myself a LOT ha, and if you admit it you really do too. So imagine how much that means we are to love one another. Yes it may seem like an old elementary Sunday school lesson, however honestly we all need to go back and remember those basic principles. If only there was just a hint of love all around the world, oh what a world this would be.

I love you guys!! And I thank you for loving me too :)

My Valentine...

What is his name? James Victor Isham, Jr.

How long have you been together? Starting in 1998..... 8 years of dating and 1 year and 5 months of marriage :)

How old is he? 26

Who eats more? well him I hope.. however I can definitely say that since we have been married I tend to eat a lot more. My dinners used to be Smart Start or Ramen noodles... now it is Meat and Potatoes ha!

Who said I love you first? JR... at some point really early in our high school dating. Wish I could remember when exactly, but I do remember him vividly telling me even before we started dating (remember we were 15 and 16) that if we were to date it would be SERIOUS. Serious as in heading towards marriage.. which i of course laughed at then haha.

Who is taller? junior.. not hard to be taller than me who is barely pushing 5'4

Who sings better? definitely JR ha! He is REALLY good and can play the guitar as well. I try to get him to do it more often, but for those who were at the engagement you can back me up on this as he sang a song he wrote for me there. When I sing I get laughed at... anyone remember all sing auditions ha?

Who dances better? my "N'Sync wanna be" hubby. He used to laugh at me in high school because i had no clue although now thanks to my friends from college and going out to dance about 3 times a week back then, i have learned a few moves myself :)

Who is smarter? well... who really knows but i would say him b/c he can learn ANYTHING he wants and is a VERY hard worker. I have lost all my discipline for school these days :)

Who does the laundry? I do.

Who pays the bills? JR

Who sleeps on the right side? JR

Who cooks dinner? Usually I do, but JR grills (especially in the summer) to give me a break. And he also loves to cook me breakfast on the weekends :)

Who drives? usually JR. unless we are driving back to TN and he needs to study.. then i get the 6 hour drive :)

Who is more stubborn? Hmmmmm.... we probably tie there. ;) He would say me and I would DEFINITELY say him ha!!

Who kissed who first? well back in the good ole days of youth group, JR decided to lay one on me in the back of the church bus on the way home from six flags. JR thinks it is hilarious to tell people that I kissed him, but if you would have known shy little Lindsey back then, you would know my version is the truth :)

Who has more friends? I by far keep up with way more friends than he does, but i would say we are pretty even with the number of friends we have. Maybe a few more for me at the seminary since he has to keep his nose in the book ha!

Who has more siblings? I do. 2 brothers and 1 sister. He has 2 brothers.

Who wears the pants? JR, and I am thankful for his love and leadership. :)

I love you my valentine!!!

Has it really been that long?

Last night I played my first intramural basketball game here at Southeastern. I must say that first of all I am very excited to be playing again, because I LOVE LOVE LOVE basketball and miss it dearly. I have not played a real game since college intramurals, 3 years ago! I had a lot of fun playing with the girls and getting to know some new people I had never met before. Now for how I really feel the day after..... OLD AND SORE!!! ha

Man I never realized what good of shape I was in back in high school. Coach K would have us running for 2 and sometimes 3 straight hours and I was go go go non-stop. Somehow last night I could barely breath after just a couple of trips up and down the court :)

We will be playing for the next 5 Tuesday nights so hopefully it will get better ha! Gosh I do enjoy the competition though....

I had called my Mimi to tell her that I was playing and she just laughed and said, "Well I hope you dont get kicked out of the seminary for being so mean out there." And she wasnt the only one.. my loving husband loves to remind me of how mean I was on the court too ha. He says I was a "scrapper" :)

Well Mimi I didnt hurt anyone and we are still here at seminary. I did feel that competitive blood start flowing real quickly though ha! JD I so wish you were still out there with me!!!!!

Blog view count

Ok so I now you think I am crazy but someone was asking me the other day who all looks at my blog and of course I said well my friends and family. They then asked, well how many views do you get a day... and of course I had no clue and guessed about 20. Well I have decided to put my blog counter in to use and keep track and I could not believe the results!!!

Here are the totals it said:

February 6- 26,125

February 7- 26,322

February 11- 26,826

That means 197 views in ONE day and 504 views just OVER THE WEEKEND!!! Holy Cow, Holy Cow, Holy Cow. I know my life isnt that interesting ha! Who are you almost 200 people? I know my other blogging friends of course but I honestly can only think of about 25 at most. I would LOVE it if you would start leaving me comments, you other 175 people who I do not know :)

**(And just as a disclaimer.. yes I know that I look at my own blog at least twice a day b/c I use it to view all of my other friends blogs. However, every time I hit the back button to go back to my homepage, I checked to see if it added another tally and it did not! ha ha ha)

She is such a special part of our staff here and is even more special as a dear dear friend. I simply cannot rave enough about this woman ha! On top of EVERYTHING else she does for me and others and talents that she has shared with me, she is now my teacher too! I am taking her "How to minister to teenage girls" on Thursday nights and am loving it. I am telling you what.. there is not much this woman cant do :) Love you Leburn, my rockstar... and thank you so much for everything!

Just by being available...

Bishop and JR

JR received the most amazing email today from a lady we went to Africa with 2 years ago. She had returned for a 2nd trip last year and had this to say:

"On the way to the village we stopped and picked up Sizwe. He is the young man that you and Bishop witnessed to that Wednesday afternoon. I wish you could see him now, I did not even recognize him when I first saw him. He was dressed so nicely, a suave looking young man. He kinda looked “raga muffin” when we were there in ’05. I was amazed when I saw him. He is back in a school, preparing to go on to college, and he is making excellent grades...... and I have saved the best for last----as we were driving back that afternoon (Sizwe and I in the back seat) I told him that I had to ask one more question. I reminded him of you and Bishop that afternoon when you were talking with him. Of course I got that big smile, then I asked him if he ever accepted Jesus and asked Him to come into his heart? He smilingly told me that he did. He said there were some problems that he got settled and then he did. He did not go into any details re: the problems. I told him how happy I am, because I wanted to know that I would see him in heaven! I told him that I would let you know also. JR, you and Bishop were sent there that afternoon and there is a young man in Africa who is going to be in heaven because of you! Thank you Jesus."

All because he was available, there will be another soul with us in heaven. Please understand that I do not share this story to brag on my husband at all because it was nothing that JR did on his own, but simply God working through him to speak to Sizwe. Some might take this lightly, however I know I do not... this is what makes my heart skip a beat and allows me to remember how great our God is. There were times, even when I was there in Africa, that I had no clue why we were to go there. But now I do...
