Broccoli Cheddar Chicken
Ingredients:
1 pound boneless skinless chicken (cut into chunks)
garlic powder
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can of milk
1 1/2 cups of Minute White Rice
2 cups frozen chopped broccoli (thawed)
1 cup cheddar cheese ( I use more b/c we LOVE cheese)
What to do:
1. Spray skillet with cooking spray. Add chicken and cook for 5 min or until cooked through. Sprinkle with garlic powder
2. Add soup and milk, bring to a boil.
3. stir in rice and broccoli, cover, reduce heat to low. Let cook for 5 min or until rice is tender (make sure you are stirring so rice doesnt stick to bottom of pan ha!)
4. Stir in 1/2 cup of cheese; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
5. Tell your husband that dinner is served :)
This is REALLY easy to do, believe me that is part of the reason why I love it. It only takes about 20 min to cook and it is delicious! It will make enough for 4 servings.
Sorry I forgot to take pictures but I am sure you can visualize what it will look like :)

Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Yesterday all I wanted to scream was, "Thank you Jesus!" There was a city Chamber of Commerce meeting in our building and I ran into some of the Enterprise gang that I used to work with. There is no doubt in my mind that God had that planned for me :) This past week has been really really busy in our office as we try to wrap up things from last semester as well as get ready for the new semester that is QUICKLY approaching. I will have to say at times this week I have been stressed and really didnt feel like dealing with students anymore (yes I know we all have our days and yes it happens to me way TOO often sadly). Anyways as soon as I saw these past fellow employees of mine all I could do was smile. I knew God was telling me right then to be thankful for my job as He reminded me where I could be right now. Enterprise is a great company but it was NOT for me... in fact I would have to say it was the least favorite job I have ever had!
I truly am grateful for the wonderful plan God has for my life. And as much as I love planning, I am glad He is ultimately in control of everything that happens to my life. Gosh only knows that I NEVER expected to be here right now... but oh how thankful I am that I am right where I am supposed to be :)
Take time to think of the positives of your job, life, spouse, etc. today. No I am not trying to be a spokesperson for positive living haha, but honestly it really does make your day a lot easier if you concentrate on the positives. (This is something I am having to learn every single day!)

A daily visit from the Chloebear
Today I happened to have my new camera here when Kristy and Chloe came to visit us in the office. I just love little Chloe and her mom and dad arent that bad either :) thanks for letting me snap some shots of your cutie!

And before anyone asks, yes I actually do something at work ha! This was just at lunch :) Work has actually been very busy as we are wrapping up one semester and about to start a new one. Things at the Isham household have been rather calm and relaxing since we got home from the break. I actually was able to sit down with my husband and watch a movie.. who would have ever thought?!?! No, it is always really nice when school is not stressing, but unfortunately that all ended today. JR started a J-term class and will be super busy for the next 2 weeks. Pray for him that he would have strength and discipline to get through a whole semester in just 2 short weeks!!!
I hope everyone will be watching the National Championship game tonight... Geaux Tigers!!!!!

The Amazing Netti Pot

Ok so before you go calling me a grandma.. let me explain :) While I was home over break I was suffering from some MAJOR sinus problems. I have allergies (which I always blame my sinus problems on) all the time and they come at what seems like the worst times. Anyways it drives me crazy! I can sneeze 15 times in a row.. seriously! It also drives JR crazy too ha. So when I was home at my Dad's house, Sue my step-mom told me that I needed to try her Netti Pot. At first hearing of this I laughed hysterically. I told her there was NO WAY I was sticking this "Pot" up my nose and that I would rather just sneeze my head off. After a long explanation of how it worked I agreed to go into the bathroom and try it. Once we got in there and I saw it, I was even more hesitant because I HATE things going up my nose!!!!! After feeling like a pansey and a baby, I decided what the heck.. lets try it.
Boy does it feel weird the first couple of times but MAN does it work!!!!!! It is the weirdest yet coolest feeling to have the warm water go up into your sinus cavity and then back down. Essentially it "cleans you out". So watch the video below (with exception of the exercises at the end.. i definitely dont do those too ha), laugh at me some, and then pass this info along to any friends and family that suffer from bad sinuses. I promise they will love you :)
Thanks you Suzie for helping me! I hope it continues to keep me sinus problem free!!!

Happy New Year

Yes I know this is a few days late.. but it has been so hard to get back on schedule ha! JR and I got back into Wake Forest on New Year's Eve day, just in time to shower and have a DATE NIGHT! Even though we had been off for a week together, we were busy with family and did not get any just us time, so we decided that would be the best thing to do on New Year's Eve night. He took me to the Cheesecake Factory (one of my fav's) and then we went to see P.S. I love you! This was my 2nd time seeing it haha but I love it so much. (girls, trust me, it is a MUST see and be prepared to shed a tear!) After getting out of the movie and doing our New Year's count down in the car on the way home, we both realized how old we were hahah. We really were thankful to be together though in our own home and bringing in another year together. This is going to be our 10th year!!! The story began in 1998, isnt that crazy :)

Congrats to BJ and Amy
Wii
Another super fun game we got to play over the break was Wii! There are so many sports to choose from with bowling, golf, tennis, baseball, etc, but I will have to say that the one that was most fun to watch was boxing. Check out this footage I got of the crazy boys :)
