Soon to be a Looney!

Today after work I am headed to Nashville for the Wade/Looney wedding. I am so excited for Jenn and Chris as I know they have been waiting for this day for a long time now. I am a bridesmaid, so that is always fun and there will be tons of college friends I get to see too :) Have I mentioned before that I love weddings? haha I shall return with many pictures on Monday to show off so look for them then. Until then, I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Growth in Wake Forest

Would you believe that Wake Forest has grown from 13,080 people in 2000 to 22,651 in 2006. This is a 73% increase!!! Now in 2007 there is no doubt we are over 25,000. We have been rated number 20 in Forbes magazine of the fastest growing suburbs across the country. You know what that means for us right? Increased property value, always good.... AND new restaurants!! I mentioned earlier that we got a new Red Robin and Chilis and now we have a Carolina Ale House too! And you know what it means when we get new restaurants right?!?! FREE FOOD!! Yes we were so lucky to be invited to dine with them last night so they could practice serving us :) Thank you Carolina Ale House for talking care of our $100 tab!!!

Classic Lindsey and JR

There is one thing for sure about me... I TREASURE PICTURES!!! I have loved to take pictures ever since I was a little girl, and now I love being able to look back at them. Photos are the memories of of our past and the treasures for our future. I LOVE PICTURES :) I am so thankful now that I have a scanner at home where I can have a permanent record of these great photos in case something ever happens. But you better believe if our house was burning, this would be the things I ran to first!

I first have to start with probably the most hilarious one. This is JR and I's first picture that we ever took together. It was 1998 (he was 16 and I was 15) and we were headed to his football banquet
Now we have my favorites of JR as a child....
Classic shot in his favorite cowboy boots :)
And you have to love the bowtie!
My all-time favorite of the Isham brothers. Can you believe how much they look alike?
JR at age 1
JR in front of his favorite airplane on his dad's air force base
Look at that curly hair :)
The little All-Star

Now favorites of my childhood:
Baby Lindsey
Flower girl at age 1
I always loved to swim!
Dont I look so sweet and innocent? ha!
My love for sports started at an early age. Here I am 8.
In 2nd grade and loving my bangs :)

Yes I was a ballerina once

My real hair color haha :)

Hope you enjoyed! And a note to all of you parents out there... keep the cameras flashing :) You will treasure the shots you take forever and when your kids are old enough they will love to have them too!!!

Baby boy gifts

I was back at it on the sewing machine for my friend Morgan's shower. She is having little boy Battle in October. I had fun making little boy things believe it or not haha and I am good friends with her mom and dad (soon to be Grammy and Pops) so of course I had to include them in the something special too :)

I could not resist showing the many dogs in the Gibson household. Mom has 5 new shitzu puppies that are 4 weeks old. Look how precious!Doesn't he look like a little panda bear.
Here are the other 4
This is momma Zoe
This is her sister Isabella
And this is the new Yorkster Terrier, Lilly

And this is Mr. Louie. He came out of Zoe's first litter and belongs to my friend Elizabeth.

Family birthday parties

I have always love that my family never lets a birthday of a loved one pass without us all getting together to celebrate. Rachel's big 13 was no exception. Wonderful cooking from mom, lots of presents, and our favorite additional family members: JD, Leeann, Zach and David.Mom and her girls

Mimi and Potts
The siblings
JD and I

Potts loves hugs :)
Poppa and his "main man" Tyler
Rachel loving how much money was in that card!Mimi purposefully took this picture just so she would make the blog hahaQuick lesson I learned that day: Dont hold up the cake when the candles are being blown out. The wax flew off and burnt me!!! hahah thats not funny! :(

Officially a teenager!

Rachel is officially a teenager now :) We had a wonderful day celebrating her by going to the movies and having sister time. Of course we couldnt pass up getting in the photo booth on our way out since we used to always do it when she was little. Isnt she beautiful.
I taught her "the" face too!
And here she is flashing off her new ring, courtesy of her big sis :)

Isham bday

Friday night we made it in time to catch the birthday celebration for JC and Reba. The whole family made it for dinner and it was a great time to visit. Reba has waited so long to finally get to be called "Granny" and therefore I thought it was fitting to make her a personalized apron for her birthday. She loves cows so I had to incorporate that in too. Cant you tell how much she loved it?!?! :)
Phillip, Vic, Reba, Leann, JC, JR and I
Reba and her best friend Robin
Aunt Lindsey touching her little niece! Ok so I really dont know what it is yet but I keep kidding them that it is a girl since they want a boy so bad :)
