I am sure everyone who keeps up with my blog regularly is wondering if I fell off the planet :) I typically try to post something at least once a day if possible but this week I have been sick. I stayed out of work on Wednesday and am still battling a sore throat and allergies today. It is weird how when I moved to college I developed an allergic reaction to animals, even though I had grown up with them all my life. Then when I moved to Atlanta they seemed to come back more often and now that I have moved again it is starting all over again. I need a miracle allergy drug... can i get an amen? :) Anyone have similar problems and have any solutions for me? Well I guarantee you havent seen pollen until you have been to Raleigh, NC. It has piled up for inches on my porch every single day since the first of April. Gees!
I am hoping to get a lot of rest this weekend and finally knock it out for good. Thanks for listening to my pitty party :) Say a little prayer for me...
Also a congrats to Missy. She will be graduating tomorrow with her Masters degree. She had an interview with Austin Pea yesterday that seems promising so we shall see. And not to mention she is on the week countdown to her wedding!!!!
Melissa Ann Bond became Melissa Ann Davis on Saturday. The wedding was gorgeous and she was a stunning bride. I had so much fun serving as "wedding assistant". Anyone who knows me at all knows I love weddings and also planning, so putting them together and being able to help out one of my dearest friends was truly an honor. I also got to see many friends from our dear old town of Rockwood so it was a lot of fun. Missy and Clint are now in Cancun for their honeymoon. Congrats to the newly weds!
Last night Student Activities held a cookout for all of the seminary students, faculty and families. It was a great turnout despite the windy weather conditions. I was put on "cookie patrol" haha so that was fun. There was free hot dogs and hamburgers, live music, blow-up games for the kids and great fellowship by all. I love being part of such a great family :)
The puppies have been so much fun this week. JR and I always look forward to coming home to see them, as they are always waiting at the steps to play. We got them some squeaky toys, and it took them awhile to get used to them but they like them now :) I am excited that they are finally looking like labs. Before this last week some said they looked more like baby hippos haha. I just love them to death, but will have to admit it is more work then i thought it would be. There is no more bringing them all inside in the basket anymore. They are so active and big now that I instead have to bring just one or two inside. They are developing their own personalities and continue to put on the weight. I think we sold our first one so that is exciting too! We are looking to sell them by May 21st so please let us know if you know anyone who wants one!
