Surprise 30th birthday!

Last Sunday night JR did an excellent job of luring me back to church for a “financial class” only to surprise me for a belated 30 birthday party! He worked so hard to get everyone there and I’m so grateful for how everyone chipped in to make it happen. Lovely food, wonderful friends and family and one shocked birthday girl!!!

I’m one blessed woman to have so many people make me feel so special. It’s not every day you get all the people who mean the most to you in one room. Great night and I’ll always cherish these pictures thanks to Sam!

It's getting real!

It's starting to get real up in here! We have a little girl who now has her own room and a sign to make it official! I jumped for joy when I saw these for less than $5 a piece.  A little vinyl and ribbon and her first projects are complete!  11 more weeks.... now to get to the rest of my DIY list :)

Cara’s bridal shower

My Mom’s beautiful décor (+) family and friends (+) a glowing bride to be = a wonderful shower!!

We celebrated with my brother’s soon to be wife this past Saturday! I am still in shock that my brother is really getting married but we just love Cara and cant wait for her to officially be part of our family. And you’ll notice she did break a bow so I hope the old tradition comes true and they make me Aunt Lindsey!

Our Little Tee Ball Player!

Griffin had his very first tee ball practice last night! It was very surreal for this Momma as I have loved the game since a very young girl and now all of a sudden I have a SON old enough to play too? He was super excited but a little timid, as he had never been a part of something organized before. Well really more like organized chaos ha!

I encouraged him to go get in line to catch the ball and throw it back to the coach. He did a very good job!

Here is the Orange team all huddled up with their coach. You’ll notice a girl standing next to Griffin in the back. That’s Colby, and she is good! She made this girl player proud. I’m willing to bed Griffin snags her as his new best friend soon, as he tends to navigate toward pretty girls

Little brother wasn’t sure what was going on. How come Bubby could go out on the field and run and he couldn’t be right by his side as usual? Taking it all in… and soon he will be joining him too!

27 weeks!

HELLO THIRD TRIMESTER!!! At 27 weeks, Lexi Grace is almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

Total Weight Gain: 12 lbs

Gender: IT’S A GIRL!!!!!

Movement: I always said that Carter was active in the womb, but I’d have to say that if little Miss is anything out of the womb like she is in… then she will give her brothers a run for their money!!!

What I miss: Not feeling huge! I know this is actually the good part and it will only get much worse but I really am not sure how my stomach always stretches MORE ha!

Sleep: Sciatic nerve is making sleep interesting as I cant always get comfortable, or I get stuck in positions. Oh its comical!!

Symptoms: Sciatic nerve again… oh that sciatic nerve!

Notes: Like her description for this week says, I have been feeling lots of hiccups. Very crazy feeling! Also she officially has her own room! All the boy stuff is moved out and not Mommy is in FULL nesting mode!

Cravings: anything fruity and the ice attack is back!

What we are looking forward to: I get to have another ultrasound on the 11th and we cant wait to see our sweet girl again!

Griffin and Mommy date

Today I had some one on one time for a Griffin and Mommy date. I had told him the night before and he was SO excited when he woke up. He had never been to Krispy Kreme before so I  decided to let that be part of our special time together.

Griffin loved watching them make the doughnuts and picked out this one with chocolate and sprinkles on it! He gobbled it up and while eating talked to me about his best friend, Isabella from school, how he was excited to help hold and feed Lexi when she comes, that his favorite colors are blue, brown and orange AND that he loved playing batman and spiderman.

As we were leaving I asked him what he’d like to do next and he said, “Go find me some Batman sandals.” It just so happens that there was a consignment sale going on so we went and although we didn’t find just that we did find new spiderman pjs and shirt & a Ben 10 puzzle.

I loved getting to concentrate on just my firstborn and tell him what a special boy he is to me. He was very sweet and told me how much he  loved our date but couldn’t wait to get home to see Carter and Daddy!
