Hearing the heartbeat for the first time this week was the best sound we have ever heard! Yes it seemed fast, but thats what the doctor said was normal. And I keep saying that at 143 beats per minute, the baby was trying to tell us that she loved us :)
I am still feeling ok. Right now the biggest thing for me is to find something that I want to eat that actually tastes good when I get to eat it. Several times I have craved something and once I had it, it just wasnt the same! I can also tell that I cant suck in quite as good as I used to be able to. By no means am I "showing" however I can definitely tell my body is changing :) I will post a picture of my belly once you can actually tell something.. dont worry ha!
New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.
I remember the first time I heard austin's heartbeat, I cried the whole way home I was so happy.
ReplyDeleteI was so like that on the food thing. I never threw up, but I would CRAVE something and then the minute it was set in front of me I didn't want it and couldn't stand the sight of it! I learned to eat simple things that did haven't a lot of things mixed together and to fight my cravings because it usually just ended up as a bunch of wasted food!!! I'm glad you're feeling well!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you referred to the baby as she. Love you all!
